Islamism as a Societal Challenge

This book presents the findings of a large-scale interdisciplinary research network in Germany, involving more than 100 scholars who studied the phenomenon of Islamism from 2020 to 2025. The contributions examine the root causes of radicalization, its societal repercussions, and political, media, and civil society responses to it. The book integrates practical approaches and in-depth case studies on prevention and intervention, sharing findings from a wide range of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences.
