Design for All and the Future of the Planet

This is an open access book. It offers a timely snapshot of research and applications of design for all. By covering inclusive practices, it highlights strategies for designing products and services that improve user experience and help answer the challenges of the next future, such as energy issues, climate change, ageing population and more. This book gathers peer-reviewed contributions to the 2024 edition of the EIDD-Design for All Europe conference, held on June 6-7, 2024, in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, around the topic "Design for All and the Future of the Planet". It addresses researchers, professionals, and policy makers, working at the interface between engineering, design, architecture, urban and environmental sciences, and related fields.
