Morphological Diagnosis in Hematology

This volume provides a comprehensive review of the morphological characteristics of leukocytes in benign and malignant disorders. Hundreds of figures from peripheral blood and bone marrow smears illustrating benign and malignant leukocyte disorders are presented, alongside an overview of machine learning models reported in the literature for the accurate morphological diagnosis of these conditions. This integrated approach supports hematologists, laboratory scientists, pathologists, and oncologists in achieving more accurate and timely diagnoses of both common and rare leukocyte disorders by combining traditional microscopic examination of blood and bone marrow smears with applications of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
