Produktbeschreibung
The journal became the central media format for literature around 1800. This study is the first to take a media-historical perspective to examine the phase in which German literature was constituted – using the journal as a guiding thread. The analytical concept of "journal poetics" allows the journal projects of Wieland ( Teutscher Merkur ), Schiller ( Thalia , Die Horen ), and Cottas ( Morgenblatt ) to be explored in their respective contexts.
