Proceedings of the 2022 AAS/AIAA Astrodynamics Specialist Conference - Volume 1

This is Volume 1 of 2 of the proceedings 2022 AAS/AIAA Astrodynamics Specialist Conference and consists of parts 1-7. This volume includes papers on the following topics: Asteroid, Earth, and Planetary Missions (Part 1); Dynamical Systems Theory & Trajectory Design (Part 2); Guidance and Control of Launch and Atmospheric Entry Vehicles (Part 3); Machine Learning and Autonomy in Astrodynamics (Part 4); Orbital Debris and Space Environment (Part 5); Relative Motion and Formation Flying (Part 6); Space Domain Awareness (Part 7). The conference was organized by the American Astronautical Society (AAS) Space Flight Mechanics Committee and was co-sponsored by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Astrodynamics Technical Committee. The published papers in the two volumes of these proceedings span subjects related to space-flight mechanics and astrodynamics from a trajectory, spacecraft mission, and maneuver design perspective. Additionally, the topics of orbital dynamics, the space environment, spacecraft navigation, collision avoidance, and atmospheric re-entry, guidance and control systems are also covered, bringing light on new and emerging technologies in the field.
