The History of Early and Classical Physics

The medieval period is explored through two major themes: the persistence of motion and the Principle of Inertia, from Aristotle to Galileo, and the motion of the heavens, culminating in Copernicus’ radical shift. Bridging the medieval and modern eras, the book focuses on the period between Copernicus and Newton, delving into the works of Kepler, Galileo, Descartes, Huygens, and Newton.
