Der politische Backlash in den USA lässt das Patriarchat als wichtigen Bezugspunkt des Politischen erneut hervortreten. Es wird deutlich, dass das Patriarchat nicht nur Geschlechterverhältnisse, sondern zugleich das Verständnis von Staat und Gesetz, von Ursprung, Wahrheit und Metaphysik definiert. Andrea Günter schlägt dagegen vor, patriarchale Denkfiguren systematisch zu ersetzen und die Elemente des Politischen dadurch neu zu bestimmen. Basierend auf Konzeptionen von Aristoteles, Hannah Arendt und Platon entwickelt sie eine alternative Gesamtsicht der politischen Elemente, die Pluralität als Tiefenstruktur des Politischen fasst.
The political backlash in the United States is once again bringing patriarchy to the fore as an important point of reference in politics. It is becoming clear that patriarchy defines not only gender relations, but also our understanding of the state and the law, of origin, truth and metaphysics. Andrea Günter, on the other hand, proposes systematically replacing patriarchal modes of thinking and thereby redefining the elements of politics. Based on concepts developed by Aristotle, Hannah Arendt, and Plato she presents an alternative overall view of political elements understanding plurality as the underlying structure of politics.
