The History of the Supervisory Legal System in Ancient China

This book mainly introduces the formation, development as well as the characteristics of supervisory legal system in various periods in ancient Chinese history from the Warring States, all the way to Qing dynasty. The book shows that the history of China's supervisory legal system is not only an important part of the history of China's legal system, but also an accumulation of supervision legal culture and a rich content of supervision legislation that reflects the creativity of the Chinese nation, so that it is an inexhaustible wealth of governance. The book is the achievement of a major project of the Ministry of Education. The author has spent nearly two years from collecting data to complete the manuscript so that the scattered historical materials of the supervision law are systematically sorted out, the static research of legal provisions are avoided and the evaluation and introduction of the important thinkers and their thoughts related to the supervision law are stressed.
