Produktbeschreibung

This book presents how new developments in nanomaterials have raised hopes for non-invasive monitoring of drug bio-distribution, which strongly correlates with the magnitude of harmful side effects. These nanoparticles are the most investigated since they all possess unique properties that are essential for use in different biomedical applications, such as targeted drug delivery, magnetic hyperthermia, contrast agents for bioimaging, photoablation therapy, and biosensors. Functionalization of nanomaterial carbon nanotubes plays a vital role in increasing their performance in different applications. Noncovalent functionalization involves the binding of guest molecules to nanomaterials through weak bonds, such as p-p interactions, hydrogen bonding, electron donor-acceptor ligand systems, or van der Waals interactions, which allow the structural integrity of the nanomaterials. Through chemical or physical procedures, functional nanomaterials have been created to perform specific activities in a variety of applications. Owing to the unique properties of these nanoparticles, a wide range of sectors have undergone transformation, including the creation of enhanced sensor devices that provide better performance and integration, light-emitting nanodevices, and nanoscale electronic devices in the field of electronics. Functional nanomaterials can improve energy storage options, help create fuel cells, and increase the efficiency of solar cells in the energy industry. For environmental safety purposes, functionalized nanomaterials are used for environmental remediation and wastewater treatment to address pollution challenges. In the field of medicine, functionalized nanomaterials are used for essential biological applications and tailored drug delivery systems that enhance therapeutic results. In recent years, these nanomaterials have played a vital role in food safety and agriculture by increasing bio-efficacy, ensuring food safety, and decreasing toxicity.
