Produktbeschreibung
Pneumatodao and the Way of the Spirit develops a constructive East Asian Christian theology of the Holy Spirit for a breathless age. Beginning from the ecological suffocation of the Anthropocene and the technological reduction of life in the AI age, Heup Young Kim retrieves Dao, ki, and ganying as foundational grammars for renewing pneumatology: the Spirit as living Way, the creaturely breath-field of Spirit-given life, and responsive resonance. These categories are not substitutes for Christian doctrine, but resources for rearticulating the biblical and trinitarian confession of the Spirit from a Korean and East Asian horizon. Centered in Christodao, the book unfolds through the Yin Spirit, body-breath spiritual cultivation, Ecodao, and Technodao. It argues that the Spirit's Way is embodied, receptive, non-coercive, ecological, and technologically discerning. Against the fantasies of mastery, disembodied intelligence, and Homo Deus, Pneumatodao calls for homo pneumaticus: Spirit-breathed human beings who receive life as a gift, walk the Way of Christ, honor wounded creation, and discern technology with wisdom. It offers a fresh grammar for theology amid planetary crisis, digital formation, and the search for faithful Christian hope. This book will interest scholars of systematic theology, pneumatology, East Asian Christianity, ecotheology, AI ethics, and World Christianity.
