Bridging Digital Sourcing, Platforms, and Ecosystems

This volume contains the revised selected papers from the 17th Digital Sourcing, Platforms and Ecosystems Workshop, DSPE 2026, held in Obergurgl, Austria, during February 8–11, 2026. Following an introductory chapter by the volume editors, the 9 full papers included in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 21 submissions. The papers emphasize the importance of rethinking digital sourcing, platforms, and ecosystems in the age of AI. They focus on the role of artificial intelligence (AI), and specifically generative AI, in digital sourcing and digital platform ecosystems. Submissions to the workshop addressed AI outsourcing governance, AI’s impact on business value creation, AI-based solutions for sustainable agriculture, and AI for transformative circular business models.
